Account Manager (End User)

Job Summary

This role is within a team which is a key driver in accelerating Techbuyer’s expansion across the UK. As an End User Account Manager, you will work under the direction of the Head of End User sales, working to the top tier of Techbuyer’s customers and prospects. Within the role, you will aim to create net new business and redevelop business relationships from our current and future account base, building your own managed account base.

You will be tasked with understanding the full Information Technology needs of each end user, building peer-to-peer relationships across the customers and prospects, and correctly positioning the whole portfolio of Techbuyer Limited’s products, services and enterprise solutions.

You will be expected to manage your own time, work with both the pre- and post-sales technical architects to help designing solutions that meet your customer’s unique business needs whilst gaining support and expertise from your peers. Internal resource and from the Vendor and Distribution relationships. Key vendors (but not limited to) that you will be working with would include HPE, VMware, Veeam, AWS and Microsoft.

The role has the ability to sell both new and refurbished solutions.

Ultimately you are responsible for delivering on monthly and quarterly sales targets for both new and refurbished solutions, all whilst maintaining the highest level of service excellence throughout your customers.

Responsibilities

  • Managing end-user opportunities and prospects, ensuring that all aspects of Techbuyer’s enterprise solutions, products and services are positioned correctly with the customer, to deliver maximum value to both the end-user and the Techbuyer Group
  • Develop solid and strategic relationships with key decisions makers, influencers and IT departments within your prospects, customers or generated leads
  • Working closely with Techbuyer’s Marketing teams to help generate leads and opportunities throughout our chosen markets across the UK
  • Become an expert working with the key Vendors and Distribution Partners to provide the best possible solutions and services to each customer
  • Understand and learn Techbuyer’s refurbished offerings so you can position these with the customers, where suitable
  • Identify up-sell & cross sell opportunities within your customer and prospect base to include legacy kit and the latest and evolving technologies within the industry
  • Partner closely with all internal Techbuyer teams including Marketing, Engineering, Order Processing, Operations, Project Management and Technical to maximise the relationships within each customer and prospect
  • As the company culture promotes helping others, ad hoc tasks may be assigned to the job holder that are not listed above
  • The job holder is expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Techbuyer Quality Management System

Required Skills or Training

  • 3 to 5 years of complex IT Infrastructure sales preferred
  • Achieving set sales KPI’s including GP and activity.
  • You are expected to achieve the set GP target. This is a yearly number which will be evenly distributed over Techbuyer Limited’s 12month financial year.
  • You are expected to regularly make calls, setup Teams meetings and work over email
  • Actively uncover HPE sales opportunities to help Techbuyer retain its silver and strive for the gold level partnership status
  • Strong knowledge of key decision drivers within the IT industry
  • Solution selling covering the full IT lifecycle, hardware, software, and services
  • A solid understanding of IT industry trends, challenges, and concepts
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with a variety of organisations, management levels, cultures, and personalities both internally and externally
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills with the ability to produce detailed sales and marketing communications.
  • Exceptional commercial ability
  • Ability to work with and build peer-to-peer strong working relationships across the UK’s IT industry
