Location: Enfield/Hybrid with a co-location in Edmonton police station

Salary: £30,500 per anum successful applicants usually appointed at bottom of scale

Contract: Permanent

About the Service

The Enfield SASS team provides advocacy and support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse living in Enfield. You will be joining a team of committed and inspiring individuals whose dedication has saved the lives of thousands of women, men, and children in the capital. We are looking for friendly and diligent individuals to join our services and help us make a difference.

About the role

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen within Enfield SASS team that provides specialist independent domestic and sexual violence services. This includes a package of support covering crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for risk and needs assessing and safety planning with survivors of domestic violence. They will hold a caseload of service users identified as high-risk requiring crisis short-term intervention, providing advice, advocacy, and onward referral where appropriate. As the senior IDVA you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the IDVA team; you will line manage the IDVAs, ensure effective internal MARAC processes and lead on MARAC within the borough

About You

We’re looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending gender-based violence. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on service users and their children, experience of working with women who have experienced domestic and/or sexual abuse including strong casework management skills.
