Reporting and Capital Planning Analyst

As a key member of the Group Finance team, you will be involved in the production of Admiral’s Financial Regulatory Reporting to the PRA and the Bank of England with additional responsibility to implement improvements and efficiencies across the reporting processes you are responsible for. This is an interesting role which provides the opportunity to experience a wide range of reporting.

This role will suit someone who enjoys the reporting and analysis of complex financial information, who is good at problem solving enjoys working in a team and can deliver under pressure. You’ll be organised, inquisitive and have an appetite to change and improve processes.

What you’ll be doing

This role sits within the Financial Regulatory Reporting team and is a great opportunity to be part of a team delivering essential reporting to the PRA and the Bank of England. A key focus is on ensuring accurate and reliable reporting, helping to maintain our strong relationship with the Regulators.

You’ll be a qualified or nearly qualified accountant with a good understanding of core accounting concepts, able to produce financial reports to a high quality, at times under tight time pressure. You’ll own the end to end production of the reports you are responsible for- from collating the raw data inputs through to the summation and consolidation of the numbers within Excel working files, understanding and analysing key movements and ensuring the reports are submitted to the Regulators on time.

You will be well supported by your experienced colleagues, with plenty of opportunity to learn and develop in the role.

About you

As a minimum requirement you’ll:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA), or somebody very close to completing their accountancy qualification
  • Experience of working in a reporting function, demonstrating delivery of information to high quality standards within a compliance-oriented culture
  • Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
  • Good Excel skills- particularly with formulae e.g. vlookup, sumproduct, sumif and ability to work with a large volume of data
  • Focus on high standards and attention to detail
  • An appetite to make improvements
  • Good process and stakeholder management skills

It would be nice if you also had:

  • experience in financial services, however this is not a pre-requisite
  • experience in regulatory financial reporting

Preferably your past experience includes a background of working in practice auditing a range of companies, examining financial reports and making recommendations or working at a large organisation with responsibility for producing complex financial reports.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
