  • If so, this is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a great Engineering Instrument team giving you the ability to actively work on projects, be recognised as the technical authority for your area, as well as supporting our ongoing operations in the region
  • You will act as a valued member of a multi-disciplined team, who are responsible for delivering projects from front-end design through to construction and commissioning, giving you the chance to work on projects from start to end
  • In addition, you will support existing installed assets throughout our UK & Ireland sites by carrying out problem solving activities, audit processes and resourcing plant shutdowns
  • You will actively seek to increase the benefit to the business of advances in control & instrumentation
  • Furthermore, you will lead the way and demonstrate best practises across the organisation
  • You will also have the chance to run the functional safety lifecycle of installed systems from the design stage to de-commissioning
  • As somebody who is safety conscious, you will ensure compliance to the appropriate legislative standards related to instrumentation including functional safety and explosive atmospheres
  • And finally, some of this role will be fixed and travel to our sites may be required but there is flexibility, and we are happy to discuss your specific requirements

 

What makes you great

  • You have engineering degree, apprenticeship, or the equivalent practical, conceptual, and theoretical knowledge and experience within a similar environment
  • You are naturally curious, with the ability to analyse and solve problems, fault find and investigate process issues
  • In addition, you have an excellent attention to detail with the ability to think on your feet to prioritise business and safety decisions
  • You are an incorporated or Chartered Engineer or working towards this, and/or have a passion for learning, developing and challenging yourself
  • You also have excellent interpersonal skills, at all levels, with the ability to influence and work effectively as part of a team
  • A knowledge of Siemens based control systems would be advantageous but is not essential
  • And lastly, you must have a high level of personal integrity and work aligned to the values of being an inclusive workplace
