Vacancy Type: Permanent/Full Time
Hours per week: 40 hours per week
Location: London, National, Hybrid working
Salary Range: £75,000 per annum

Holiday: 27 days annual leave. In addition to those, we have a compulsory 3-day shut down at Christmas and Bank holidays are also on top of the 27 days.

About You

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a senior leadership role. We are open to candidates from a purely commercial background, as well as those from the Charity and not-for-profit sectors.
A compatibility with our charitable objectives – an ability to navigate the dual purpose of commerciality and community.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans, preferably in the area of fitness, health and wellbeing.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve excellence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for promoting health and well-being, with a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social impact.

About the Role

Central YMCA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Fitness / Health and Wellbeing to join our Executive team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a strategic vision for our Health and Wellbeing provision, ensuring its sustainability and impact on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Central YMCA’s Fitness offerings, aligned with organisational objectives and values. Within the organisation this is primarily referred to as “Health and Wellbeing”.
Expand the reach and impact of our Health and Wellbeing programs beyond London to serve communities across the UK.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions, partnerships, and funding models to support our Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
Lead and inspire a team of dedicated professionals to deliver high-quality services and achieve measurable outcomes.
Represent Central YMCA in relevant forums, conferences, and partnerships to promote our mission and advocate for health and wellbeing.
Contribute to the development and promotion of Central YMCA’s overall mission, vision, and strategic objectives as a key member of the Executive team.
