Who we are & what we do:

Our mission at Techbuyer is to provide innovative and sustainable IT solutions that deliver performance without compromise. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of the IT industry, by extending the lifespan of hardware, conserving resources, and minimising electronic waste. We have 19 years of success behind us, with our 215 colleagues in locations around the globe and our head office in Harrogate.

At Techbuyer we are driven by values of supportiveness, openness, and integrity, which shape our company culture and drive our team to deliver the best service for our customers.

The Role:

We have a very busy warehouse in which we process incoming deliveries; wipe, test or refurbish all our used parts; and put together orders large and small for packing and shipping. There’s always a lot of activity as we often have a quick stock turnaround: but you’ll find a lot of training, support and a spirit of camaraderie! We’re looking for a new team member to be responsible for Co-ordinating duties within our Goods Out department.

Duties involve ensuring that all incoming stock is in the correct condition to be sold and is being stored correctly and efficiently within the warehouse. Attention to detail is therefore crucial, as is good communication both within the team and with other inter-departmental teams.

  • To audit and ensure that all stock booked in is in a suitable condition to resell before being stocked.
  • To assist in the putting away of stock using RF-Smart or NetSuite software, accurately inputting the bin locations for each part to enable everyone in the business to locate any part in stock efficiently.
  • Assisting in keeping track of virtual warehouses. This also Includes the management of these various locations.
  • Assisting with stock creation/management, ensuring the quality and accuracy of stock levels is maintained across the entire stock range.
  • Liaising with other warehouse teams to resolve any stock queries or issues.
  • Carry out stock taking as required throughout the year.
  • Investigation into any stock issues and correct where necessary.
  • Assisting in certain warehouse related improvement projects – amending or adding to the existing operational workflow.
  • Assist in general cleanliness and tidying of the warehouse.
  • Any other suitable warehouse duties that may be required by the Team Leader(s) or Operations Manager(s).
  • As the company culture promotes helping others, ad hoc tasks may be assigned to the job holder that are not listed above.
  • The job holder is expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Techbuyer Quality Management System

Required Skills:

  • Attention to detail – Requirement to follow strict operational procedures
  • Organised, methodical approach to work and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and multitasking
  • Basic understanding of Excel.
  • Great problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills
